Ingredients
  • 1 nos. Licious Chicken Malai Tikka
  • olive oil
Servings: people
Instructions
Pre-cooking Prep
  1. Place the pieces in a bowl and gently massage the marinade mix all over so that each piece is evenly coated with the spice.
Cooking Method
  1. Shallow Fry
On the Hob Method
  1. Heat a teaspoon of oil in a non-stick frying pan over a medium flame.
  2. Place the pieces on it one at a time allowing the meat to sear.
  3. When the side browns, turn it over and allow the other side to become a golden caramel brown too.
  4. Sprinkle water occasionally into the pan to avoid the pieces from burning and put a lid on it immediately to retain the moisture.
  5. Towards the end of the cooking process, deglaze by adding some water and scraping the bottom of the pan, to dissolve all the essences that have dried out in the bottom of the pan.
  6. It would reduce to a thick shiny liquid which is flavourful and could be used to coat the pieces before serving hot and glistening. Time: 10 Minutes Approximately
Oven Method
  1. Warm up the oven to 180 degree or Gas Mark 4.
  2. Heat a teaspoon of oil in a non-stick frying pan over a medium flame.
  3. Place the meat one at a time allowing the meat to sear on the bottom of the pan.
  4. When the side browns, turn it over and allow the other side to brown too.
  5. Transfer the meat from the pan into a baking tray and place in the oven.
  6. When ready, remove the tray out of the oven.
  7. Place the meat on a serving dish.
  8. Add some water to the baking pan and either heat it up over a hob or place it back in the oven to deglaze into an aromatic sauce
  9. Now a lot of people might encourage you to slow cook in an oven for extended time at around 120 deg. C or Gas mark 2. We don’t recommend it as our meat is “melt in the mouth” as it is. Time: Should take anywhere between 20 to 30 mins
Grill Method
  1. This is for the ones who love the smoky flavour in meats. If you do have a barbecue grill at home, don’t hesitate for a second to light it up, as this is home for all Licious meats. Time: Should take anywhere between 20 to 30 mins
Post-cooking Method
  1. Once cooked, allow the meat to rest for about 5 minutes before serving it.
